Figuring Out the Human Form
Saturday, August 25 | 11:00 am-4:00 pm
The motivation that brings you to the studio every day should be the desire of seeing works which you still have not yet done. -K J Marshall
Students can experience sculpting in clay from a live model in this one-day studio course. Class will consist of demonstrations of building techniques coupled with an introductory anatomical study. Explore figure proportion, human expression and body gesture. There will be class discussions on surface treatment for sculpture, including “cold finishing techniques” in order to finish your sculpture.
All levels welcome. Class includes individual attention/instruction, 30 pounds of clay and bisque firing.
