New Harmony Clay Project's educational programs are led by experienced artists and educators and are open to all skill levels, from those touching clay for the first time to the more seasoned ceramics professionals. Date Night 

friday, august 11, 2017 | 6:00-9:00 PM

FEE: $60 PER COUPLE

LIMITED space | PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Experience working with clay on the potter’s wheel! Couples, singles, and friends are welcome to enjoy the evening  creating and sharing the joys of making art. Our skilled instructors will guide you through centering and shaping clay forms on the potter’s wheel, and then you will be set free to make your own creations. The evening ends with beer, wine and light hors d'oeuvres as we briefly review the night’s work.

Harris Deller is interested in contradictions and dualities; paradox, juxtaposition, yin and yang. Using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, he is drawn to abstraction as a way to uncover and make visual those phenomenon. Join us as we explore his extensive career as a ceramic artist and his personal approach to clay as a medium.

oPEN STUDIO: POT-A-THON 

sATURDAY, jUNE 3, 2017 | 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Join the merry pranksters at the studio for a day of ceramic fun! We will be throwing on the wheel, pinching pots, producing elbow pots, mud splatting and much more! Free and open to all ages!

HARRIS DELLER: CONES, CYLINDERS, TRAPEZOIDS AND LINES workshop

FEE: $25 per person | $20 per student

In this workshop, Deller will construct pottery forms while demonstrating wheel throwing and slab building techniques. He will arrange and activate geometric shapes and patterns and demonstrate carving, incising, inlaying and under-glaze decals.
