Offer your party a unique opportunity to bond and celebrate while having a great deal of “dirty” fun.

Have the time of your life with your group working in ceramics during a Private Event! Create your own team of clay explorers as you are taught the basics of throwing ceramic vessels. During the three-hour evening event, you and your staff will be shown techniques that have been handed down by past “masters” and usually are only available to the worthiest.

Each participant will make their own clay creation by hand or on the potter’s wheel, and understand how ceramic objects are made, glazed and fired. In addition, each person has the chance to keep their completed work which the staff of the NHCP will trim, fire and glaze for you.

What To Expect

Each group will be given expert instruction by internationally recognized ceramic artist Lenny Dowhie, T Lance, and supporting staff. Each participant will be provided ready-to-use clay, tools and hands-on assistance. Light snacks and adult beverages will be available. Approximately three weeks after the conclusion of the class, your works will be finished and available for pickup.

cost

$38 per person with 12 available spaces. Pottery fees are $5 per work to be processed (to be paid at the conclusion of the night).

Consent and Liability Agreement

The safety of each participant is our highest priority. New Harmony Clay Project (NHCP) takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the physical and emotional safety of our class participants; however, as in any other experience, we cannot eliminate all risk. By agreeing below, you acknowledge that you/your party understand the risks of your/their participation in the NHCP classes and assume complete liability while at NHCP studios. Additionally, you/your party agree to indemnify and hold harmless NHCP, its agents, employees or contractors, whether paid or volunteer, the Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation, Inc. (owner of the facility) from any liability which may arise from any injury while participating in this program.

COVID-19

Coronavirus/COVID-19 is contagious, and NHCP highly recommends all participants be vaccinated. NHCP has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, we cannot guarantee the safety of participants during class. We ask that each participant comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending our classes. By agreeing below, you acknowledge the following for you and your party: -Will wear masks and practice social distancing. -Are not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, fatigue, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea or new loss of taste or smell. -Have not been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the COVID-19. -Have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities. -Are following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting exposure to COVID-19.

Photo Policy

Our students are our best ambassadors, and we often photograph and/or video students during the program for promotional purposes without compensation. I hereby authorize that photographs may be taken of the above registered participant(s) and their artwork and that such photographs may be published to promote NHCP, including on the NHCP website.
